IN THE MOHAWK VALLEY. No. 2. [portion of front caption]
Description
Front caption reads: "'IN THE MOHAWK VALLEY.' No. 2. Old Historical Canal at Little Falls, N. Y. Built before the Erie Canal and now used as a feeder for many Mills. May be seen from the Car Windows, N. Y. Central." [bottom of card]. Written message in blank space at bottom of card (Oct. 30th 1906 Mary.). The postcard features an image of a canal feeder receding straight into the background. A two-story wooden structure, probably a lumber mill, can be seen on the left. Next to this building there appears to be a pile of lumber. Two narrow wooden bridges can be seen in the distance. To the right of the canal feeder, large trees, their green foliage giving the postcard its only bit of color, tower over the scene.
