A couple stands on the cobblestone towpath beside the Erie Canal in Schenectady, New York. The "Dock Street" area depicted here appears to be of mixed-use. Presumably, a hotel and a brewery are visible in the background, while the couple stands next to a building with a distinctly residential feel. Some color is chipping off of the postcard on all four corners, but most damaged is the bottom left - where the largest portion of the brown paper backing is showing through.
