Opened in 1957, Shuster Hall was constructed for $3,000,000 and housed the School of General Studies that began offering evening classes in February, 1961. The building to the right opened in 1960 as the Library. Shuster Hall is today used for administrative purposes; and the former Library building is now used for the Art Gallery and the Art Dept. Both buildings were designed by architect Marcel Breuer.
